COMPOS
Remote entries are allowed and more than welcome.
All demoscene competitions and events are organized in cooperation with the awesome Compocrew ry
You can now submit your entries (did I forget to say that remote entries are most welcome) in Partyman: https://partyman.byterapers.com/
General Rules
- All entries must be submitted through the partyman system before the deadline. The deadline for all competitions is Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 12:00 EEST.
- Remote entries are allowed in all competitions except the Special Bonus Competition.
- The creator(s) does not need to be physically present at the party, but appointing a proxy to collect the fame, glory and questionable prizes is highly recommended.
- There is no limit on the number of entries per participant in any competition.
- All entries will be screened before the competition, mainly to filter out inappropriate or unsuitable content, as the competitions will be streamed.
- The organizers reserve the right to reject any entry and deny participation at their discretion.
- The use of generative AI for creating competition content is prohibited. However, the use of AI-assisted tools for developing your own production tools, workflows or toolchains is allowed.
Combined Demo / Intro Competition
- All platforms in the same category. C64, Amiga, PC, whatever, just tell your audience what is what.
- Entries must be previously unreleased.
- Partial reuse or remixing of your own earlier productions is allowed. Recycling is allowed to the certain amounts (~less than 50%)
- Entries must be provided in an executable format and must run on Windows 11 or on the oldschool hardware listed below on this page. If you have any doubts about whether our hardware is suitable, it’s better to be safe than sorry and bring your own. FPGA platforms and emulators are allowed only as a last resort and with prior permission from the organizers. More exotic platforms belong in the Wild competition.
- Entries will be presented at 1080p60. 1080p50 is also possible but must be clearly specified in advance.
- Maximum running time is 8 minutes. Maximum compressed filesize is 1 GB.
Wild Competition

- Entries must be previously unreleased.
- Include a short story in the slide information which tells what your music is all about.
- Technique and used tools are encouraged to be added into the slide info. People will vote you if you let them know that your masterpiece was drawn with Salora Fellow

Graphics Competition
Theme: Upper Savonia Federation — Past, Present and Future
Upper Savonia. Iisalmi. Genelec. Olvi. Sven Tuuva. Local legends, history, industry, mythology and speculative future timelines. Take inspiration from Upper Savonia and imagine where it came from, where it is now, and where it might be heading.
Note: You can derivate into other directions depending on where your interests lie. Because theme is an open-ended concept, you can branch out to whereever you want. This is however not encouraged.

Photo Competition
Theme: Demoscene. Figure it out. What makes cubes flex.
A doughnut in a glass of kilju. Demosceners mud wrestling. A real-time sea of flames. A party bus upside down on a hayrack. Use your imagination.
- Entries must be previously unreleased. Stock photography is not allowed.
