Most competitions have their own theme in the competition ruleset, so it’s time to dig out those unfinished projects and finally turn “I’ll finish it someday” into reality. Remote entries are VERY welcome!
Remote entries are highly encouraged, so fire up your old hardware, trackers, paint programs, shaders or whatever you use to make demoscene magic — and send your entry our way!

03/08/2026What an Assembly, folks! We not only finally scored our first-ever win in the Assembly main demo compo, but also won the Oldschool Demo Compo and the One Minute Demo Compo. Triple crown—fuck yeah!
To top it all off, we also grabbed 2nd place in the 4K Intro Compo with (B) and Wide Load co-op production.
Now it’s time for some well-earned rest before going full steam ahead toward the main event of the year: the B40 Anniversary Party! There are still few beds available, but not many, so act faster harder uknow.

The 40th Anniversary of Byterapers, Inc.
The group that did it all and is everything else as well. The inventors of international crime waves. The original Silicon Valley garage startup. The brewery product experts. The corporate overlords. The owners of the largest collection of fake stamps in mankind’s history. The creators of the digital everything and some of the rest as well. The protector of the Holy Olvi.
It all began in Iisalmi, in the heart of Ylä-Savo (Upper Savonia). The Compiler had been there, always, patiently waiting until it was the time to become. The first men forged it in the digital smithys and it was pure. Then they filled the core, with Zeros and Ones, from the grail of Holy Olvi. As it was meant to be. It was true, real, beautiful to behold. The demo.
And so the Byterapers came to be, called upon by the Compiler.
The path behind is well-trodden. 40 years. Still The Compiler calls and urges us forward.
Join us in the worship on 3rd–6th September 2026. Come to remember the 40 past years and the future. You, the old, the current and the future Byterapers. You, our friend. Byterapers, Inc., the internationally celebrated demogroup, announces upcoming 40 years anniversary celebrations.
The Finnish demoscene has (almost) always been know as the home of the best of the best, even if they are sometimes best only at beer drinking. Neverthless, there are still survivors of the 1980s Era of Home Computing and the Things That Shall Not Be Named. One of them is Byterapers Inc., the top grossing, award winning, universally worshipped demoground founded in 1986.
Through the best of times, the worst of times, surfing through the rise, decline and new wave of demoscene, Byterapapers has managed to survive – and stay current. Be it C64, Amiga, PC, mobile or whatsoever platform, the group has seen it all.
Fast forwaring a bit and some 40 years later: Friends. Thou art henceworth invited to the 40 years anniversary of Byterapers inc., 3.-6.9.2026, Räyskälä Grand Villa, Loppi, Finland
100 km from Helsinki, 120 km from Tampere, 900 km from Gothenburg, 1 month from Assembly.
Basic information: beds for about 50+ persons. Beds reserved/sold invidually via Shoppe. Plenty space for mattresses, tents and campers. PA, screen, projector & other tech stuff.
Programme: panel discussion(s), behind the scenes of the demos, gaming competitions, demoscene competitions, outdoor competitions, live acts, stuff.

TICKETS
The tickets shoppe will open up for visitors 1st of April 2026.
All tickets, except the basic one “no bed reservation” version, include a reserved bedspace. Beds include a blanket and a pillow, without bedwear – bring your own linen and other sleeping accessories.
Better ticket versions, pink piggy and golden hog editions show your respect and support for the event organizers and enables more features to be unlocked at the party (food, drinks, all other fun things). Moneymen and cashgirls, go crazy and spend spend spend!
Ticket prices
Basic entry, valid for whole long weekend. No bed reservation, bring your own mattress, camper, tent or just sleep outside in the cozy forest with all the friendly animals and insects. Only 65 €
Regular entry, valid for the whole long weekend. Includes a reserved real bed in cozy bedrooms, including pillow and blank, but you need to bring your own linen (pussilakanat). Just 95 €
Pink Piggy ticket, same things than above, including unlimited glory. Merely 250 €
Golden Hog ticket, same things than above, including true elite superpowers. Whopping 500 €
PARTY ACCESSORIES
Anniversary party T-shirts, sweatbands, belt bags, and all the other essentials will be available in the Byterapers webshop during the spring and summer of ’26. Please note that there will be no sales desk at the party—everything is made by preorder.

ACCOMMODATION
PARTY SHOPPE WILL OPEN 1st of APRIL 2026. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WILL APPLY AFTER OPENING!
Camping, bringing your own mattress, hammock, sleeping in van and so forth is included in the ticket price for 65€. With better ticket versions, you have your own dedicated bed for the whole weekend.
Please note that if your camper requires electrical outlet (not for heating, toy fuses!), you need additional 10€ voucher for electricity and your own long enough power cables.
ROOM RESERVATIONS

In the upper left corner place called Kulmahuoneisto is atm off limits for room reservations. ALTERNATIVE SHADOW PARTY CABINS
If you are coming with crew of the future, or men exotic in nature, there are two other rental cabins nearby. These are not rented by the party organizers and must be booked directly with the landlord. Booking and payment are your responsibility.
Loppi Luxus is on the next lot from the party venue, just a few meters crawling distance. It accommodates up to 20 people. The price is approximately €1,700 + options. The landlord will provide the final quote.
Loppi Wilderness Villa is about 1.5 km walking distance (5 km by car). It accommodates up to 15 people. The price is approximately €1,000 + options. The landlord will provide the final quote.
